MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team competed at the Panther Tune-Up Saturday at the Klotsche Center, tying for fifth place overall with 25 points.
In the 60-meter hurdles, Nathan Boerneke (Fox Lake, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) finished with a school-record time of 8.97 to place second overall.
Nick Biancuzzo (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Milwaukee Lutheran) took home first in the 800 meters, finishing in 1:57.33. Tommy Jones (Delavan, Wis./Delavan-Darien) wasn't far behind, finishing third with a time of 2:03.16.
In the mile run, Danny Hafenstein (Lake Mills, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) and Isaac Hill (Racine, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) were neck-in-neck, finishing in fourth and fifth, respectively. Hafenstein finished in 4:41.65, while Hill crossed the line in 4:42.64.
Boerneke, Alexander Kirk (Waukesha, Wis./North), Jones, and Biancuzzo competed in the 4x400-meter relay, completing the race in 3:45.22.
Andrew Stumpner (Crystal Lake, Ill./South) threw the shot put 11.72 meters to take third, and he also took fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 11.42 meters.
The Warriors' next event will come Saturday at the NACC Indoor Championships. Events from the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center in Kenosha are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
